The end of the English classes

Hello, this is my final post, and today I’m going to write about my experience learning English at university.

Well my experience in the English class of this semester it was better, I feel that I have learned new things, words and different English expressions. In this semester the English class was more continuous because there wasn’t “paros” or big breaks, so I feel that it was more productive and I could take advantage of the class.

About the programming of the class, I think it’ll be more interesting if there were even more learning dynamics like presentations or more occasions to talk, and something like that. I think it’s necessary to potentiate more areas of English language use.

Well, I think the blogs are good learning dynamic, it potentiate the written and grammatical area, besides serves for learn more words.

With respect the English videos, I think it’s a very good idea, because (in my opinion) it helps us to improve our pronunciation and how we express our ideas and expressions.

On the other hand, I think the programming English subject should be divided in four areas, writing, reading, listening and talking whit the same dedication and the same time in developing them, because I think spending too much time in only one activity isn’t enough, it’s necessary development more learning dynamics.

About my English, I have much to learn, maybe I could speak basic things in English, but I couldn’t have a smooth conversation. I need to improve some aspects like grammatical and my pronunciation. I really would like to learn English very good and have the possibility to communicate in this language. For improve my English I’ll take classes at English institute and when I have more money I’ll live in other country (Canada) for six month (I hope so).

I do not use English often, only when I need to read something (some easy text) and sometimes I speak in English with my girlfriend, because she can help me with my grammatical and pronunciation mistakes.

Well, I think the English classes of this semester was very good and I was able to learn new things, for this I’m really grateful.

Changes for the EGGP

Hello, today I am going to write about the changes that I would like to apply at “Escuela de Gobierno y Gestión Pública” at Univesridad de Chile. 

I think that the EGGP need some changes, like the building or a better academic leveling.

With regard to the building, that it’s a historic problem. The EGGP history has been marked by different changes of buildings; those changes have been occurred because the buildings didn’t have the necessary condition to operate such as seat of university. 

Well, now we have the same problem, we are in a building that doesn’t have the necessary condition to operate, for example, the building doesn’t have an optimum casino to all students can eat, other problem is the space to do the class, the classroom are so small and have the iconic pillars, that make difficult the realization to the class. Besides, other problem it’s that the infrastructure isn’t adequate to receive people with difficulties to move.

Other change that I would like to do at EGGP it’s the form that do the academic leveling. I think that our education system has a lot of problems and one of that it’s the differences with regard to knowledge that is given to the students, for this problem, when the students join to the university realize that exist a lot of things and subjects that not understand. I think that the university should be more concerned about this problem, the university has some programs oriented to help in this problem but I thing that isn’t enough, it is necessary that the university to commit itself with this them. 

Summer Plans

Hello, today I’m going to write about my plans for summer.

It’s so possible that this academic year finished in December, for this reason I’ll have two months of summer vacations.

I think that It’ll probably I work in January, because I need some of money for different activities like travel and go out with my friends. I think that I’ll work in a supermarket, some food fast premises, clothes store or some like that.

Well, in this summer I’m planning to travel for Chile, I would like to travel with my friends, we want visit the south, personally I would like visit Chiloe but depend on the money that I’ll save, maybe other option is travel to some National Parks or National Reserve closer our city like Radal Siete Tazas, Altos de Lircay, Laguna del Laja. Besides, I would like to know some place to the north; it’s possible that I’ll visit a friend that lives in "Región de Atacama".

In February I’ll travel with my family to some place closer my city, it’ll be a travel more relax.

In the summer I would like to be with my family, my girlfriend and my friends, throughout the year I can’t be or visit their, for different reason

, activities, study, work and things like that. The summer it’s a very good opportunity for spend more time with their.

I would like to do some activities in the summer like go to theater class and enter to volleyball club. Beside, obviously I’ll rest a lot of time, and I see some series and movies.

One idea of my future job

Hello, today I’m going to write about of one idea of the things that I would like to do in my future job.

I wouldn’t like to have a job where I have stay a lot of time in the same place; I would like to move me for different places. I imagine me working in something related to the development of culture or the environment area, besides I like the area of human rights and the international relations.

I suppose that I will have to be in some office the most of the time, that I will have a lot of meetings, but also I think that will exist the possibility to interact with people related to the areas that interest me, and go to different places related to the same areas. 

I know that for my career it’s so probably that I will be in the office, but I would like to have the opportunity of travel to others countries and learn about it realities and experiences with the idea to see what things can implement in Chile. Because I think that is possible learn from others countries and with this achieve the better’s results. Really I would like to have the opportunity of do this work and bring the most important experiences of my interesting areas to Chile.

I’m thinking take a major about public policy or something related to manage when I graduated because I want learned more things about to public system and can do my job of the most better form.

Release (Peal Jam)

Hello, today I'm going to write about a really good song (in my opinion).

The song is "Release" by Pearl Jam, my favorite music band. "Release" is the last one song by “Ten”, the first album by Pearl Jam and it was the first song played in their first concert.

Why the song was written? 
The song was written spontaneously. It happened while Stone Gossard tuned his guitar and Eddie Vedder prepared his voice, Eddie began to sing, later he finished so affected with the letter, because it was related with his personal life history, for this reason after of the improvisation Eddie ran away, visibly affected. 

The father of Eddie Vedder died when his was so young. Eddie thought that his father was a friend of the family, when his father died his mother decides tell him that this “friend” was his father.

In my opinion that song is so emotional. When I listened for first time, I loved to much it melody and the great form that Eddie Vedder interprets the letter of the song, and it heartrending voice.

Then, when I searched more information about the song I understood the emotional that it is, and the form that Eddie and the band can transfer so good the pain feelings through the song was surprised and touched me.

I really love this song, it’s so emotional and it do feel me a lot of feelings.

The Film "Bread and Roses" and social movies

Hello, today I’m going to write about of the movie that I saw in my english class.

The name of the movie is “Bread and Roses” by Ken Loach, the movie is about of the relation into immigrants’ workers and their bosses, and shows the confrontation that workers do against abuse of their bosses.  I will mention three scenes that I liked:

      1)       When Sam was escaping of the building and Maya helped him to get out in a dump, this scene was so funny.

      2)      When the boss says goodbye to a woman employee of the company, the reason and the form
of says goodbye was terrible and express the type 

     of relation into bosses and immigrants’ workers, it was very sad and unpleasant.

      3)      Other scene is when a woman worker help to Maya to use the vacuum cleaner, it’s a little scene 

     but shows the fellowship.

In my opinion, social films reflect different problematic and some of the social realities of the world. Leaving behind the fiction genres, and 

giving space to show the problems of the real world.

In regards of the immigrants in Chile, referring to public politics, it hadn't been controlled the way to treat the immigrants, including them in the society, sharing with them culture, politic, and most important of all, give them good opportunities of work because they came to Chile to give us new experiences to the country and at the same time they win the same thing, experience in other country.

Pearl Jam's Concert

Hi, today I’m going to write about my first concert, the Pearl Jam’s concert.

This concert was on November 04^th in 2015 in “Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos” in Santiago, Chile.

The Pearl Jam is my favorite band. This band was formed with the name Mookie Blaylock, on October 22th in 1990, in Seattle, United State. On 1991 they changed their name to Pearl Jam.

PJ is considering one of the most popular bands on 90’s. Till the date, the band has sold 65 million discs on the world.

Actually the band it’s formed for Eddie Vedder (singer), Mike McCready (main guitar), Stone Gossard (rhythmic guitar), Jeff Ament (bass player) and Matt Cameron (drummer).

During the event all people were very excited, the atmosphere was amazing, there were some magic, adrenalin, romantics, and very happy moments.

Personally I was really excited, it was my first concert, I had a chance to see my favorite band on a live performance, and I was with my best friends and girlfriend.

I enjoyed all moments in the concert, including the very long row to enter.

Besides, this concert was the celebration of the anniversary with my girlfriend, was a very beautiful experience.

A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT.

I’d like to visit a lot of countries, but when question me what country I’d really love to visit, I think in three countries Brazil, Canada and Italy.

In this post I will write about my wishes of travel to Italy. I´d like to visit that country because since I was a child imagined visit it beautiful cities, Rome, Venice and Florence, and know the amazing history buildings like Rome Coliseum,  Agripa Pantheon, Tower of Pisa  and the beautiful Venice canals

.
Besides I love the pastas and I’d like eat them in one of the countries with the best preparation.
I know that in Italy has the most World Heritage in the world.

If I go there I will visit the history buildings, the Amalfitana coast and the “Foro Romano” one of the history places most important of the country.

When I travel to Italy for the first time I’d like to do it as a tourist and the second time I’d like to study there and live for one or two years, because their language, education and life style calls my attention. 

An expert on my field

In this post I’m going to talk about of an expert on my field, I choose to professor Diego del Barrío.

Diego del Barrio is a professor of Universidad de Valparaíso, he does the economy I and II, and “modernization of State”. He is Master in Business Administation (MBA) in the university Complutense de Madrid, Spain and he is graduate in Public Administration in Universidad de Chile, besides he has a PhD in Economics Sciences the university Nacional de la Matanza, Argentina.

He is consider an expert in public administration this is evidenced in that he is the national president of “Colegio de Administradores públicos” of Chile. That is important because is an institution with 45 years of history providing to modernization of State.

I consider to Diego del Barrio an expert on my field for the reason expressed previously, for her studies, for impart class in two good Chilean universities (Universidad de Valparaíso y Universidad de Chile) and for position in the “Escuela de A.P en Chile” doing the post of president.

Evaluation of blog experience

In general I'm not very good at English but always called my attention I listened to music in English and sometimes I tried to read books or magazines in english though I couldn't understand too much, besides I always liked to learn about english a little bit.

I never worked like this before, is a totally new way of working for me, to be constantly making blogs helps me to learn.

At the beginning I feel like it wasn't very important or very helpful but I realized that you're practicing grammar, learning new vocabulary in english and slowly it's helping us to know how to talk in english more fluent.

In the end I consider this blog like a very good experience because it's an innovating way to complement an english course, including grammar, vocabulary, writing and listening in english.

Besides we can write about topics that are interesting for us and that's a really important thing when you're learning, so you don't lose your motivation.

When you're writing a blog you must think in every word you're using and the full context of the paragraph, making sentences that are well planted.

That's my opinion about the blog, a good way to teach English.

Free post 3: "Feria Técnico Profesional"

My school has the modality of “Técnico Profesional”, in the two last years add topics about administration and some examples are accounting, human resources and customer service.

In this two years I had two big projects, one of these was “Feria técnico professional”, this was a group project about some product or service created for us. Whit my group created a product, we created “Colorfood” and the product was “empanadas” of colors. Specifically was four “empanadas” of color, because was four flavors, the green was vegetarian flavor, red meat flavor, orange seafood flavor and blue napolitana flavor.

We had to present our project in a public exposition, we had to do a “stand”, in that “stand” we had to promote and explain our product to the visitors.

I enjoyed so much that experience, because I was in the group only with friends, for this reason all stressful and complicate moments finished in laughs and jokes. Every time that we got together half the time was for speak about life or anything different to the project, but even so the project was very well done.

I think that was an amazing experience, was a beautiful work and served for connect more than before our friendship.

A subject I enjoy studying this semester

What subject I enjoy studying this semester? It’s complicate, maybe I can say that I enjoy studying two subject, but is not because I love study jajaja.

The subjects are “Dinámica de la Administración Pública Chilena” and “Marco Normativo para la Acción Administrativa II”.

First “Dinámicas de la A.P Chilena”, most that enjoy studying this subject, I consider useful for my development like public administrator, because the topics are necessary for understand more of the reality and functioning of public administration in Chile. Also the program of classes considered do exposition with specialize in the topics, something very positive for the learning.

With respect “Marco Normativo para la Acción Administrativa II”, I enjoy studying this subject because I think that is important understand the topics related with rules, because I think that if I know the rules my future bosses can’t pressure or scare me unfairly, this happen frequently in the “public administration word”. Also for different reasons the topics review in class I was served for understand some situations that happened in the jobs of some persons of my family.  

Free Post 2: My experience in theater group

In this free post I'm going to talk about my experience in theater group.

When I was in the school I inscribed in different things (in different years), like football, basketball, tennis, something related with how plant and look for the vegetables and theater.

When I inscribed in theater I was nervous because in the group had larger peers and at the end of the year we had to present a play.

I remember that in the first play that I participate was so short maybe 15 or 20 minutes.

Later I begin to participate in bigger plays, especially the last one play “Bodas de Sangre”, I loved to participate in that play, my character was “El novio”, a moody and violent man, that guy was cheated for his fiance and later dies fighting whit the lover of his fiance.

I really love to participate in theater, I love play different characters and come forward, facing up any fear or my nerves.

Something that I love

I tink that I has different levels of love. First the most important things that i love are, my family, my girlfriend and my friends. All this people is so important in my life, they are my support, with they i was lived the most important moments in my life.

In other lever of love, I can say that I love different things, I love play guitar, because give me calm and I love can perform my favors songs.

Also I love play volleyball, when I was a children I play differents sports like tennis, football, basket, handball, but when I entered in volley I was happy with it, since the moment in that I entered I make a decision of stay in this sport definitively .

 Other thing that I love is go to concert of my favor music bands, it’s amazing listen the music in live, can see the music bands and share the euphoria whit a multitude of people, jumping and chant the songs.

How i choose Public Administration program?

I choose this carrier because I want to help to give fair solutions to the public problems, especially everything related with animal care and culture like programs of theater, music, dance, etc.

When I was a child I dreamed with be a guide of safari in Africa, my dream was take care of any animal and plant of there, I love this entire ecosystem.

In the High School I thought in different programs like study, anthropology, veterinary science, history teacher, theatre and public administration. I discard anthropology and veterinary science because i don't like the science. At year this end i have three options, after a conversation with my parents and my sister, and when I found out more of the public administration program, I decided to study this program.

A photography story

This picture was taken a cloudy day outside of the Julio Martinez stadium. My friends and I were waiting for like eight hours just to enter to the stadium. There was a very long row to enter and with every minute that pass we were getting tired but at the same time we were very exciting cause we were about to see our favorite band playing "alive" literally. In just a few hours we will be standing in front of Pearl Jam, watching them playing and signing their songs together.

So when we were waiting, my friend Rodrigo decided to take a picture of us to remember this moment in the future and then he took the picture.

This is a very important picture to me because the day that was taken was also my anniversary with my girlfriend in November 4th, besides i had a great time celebrating it and hanging out with people I care about.

My favorite piece of technology

Hello everyone, today I'm going to write about my cellphone, this is my favorite piece of technology (for the moment).

I got it in 2014, was a present of my mom, she gave me the cellphone for my birthday number 17.

I use my cellphone for three principal things, for communicate with my family and friends, listen music and for see different things in internet (videos, social network and news). For these things I use the cellphone much time during the day.

I like it because whit this I can talk whit my family, my girlfriend and my friends (this is the reason for the cellphone is my favorite piece of technology).

I think that without it, my relations (with close people) would be more distant, because many of my friends and family are in other place.  

Enrique's Biography

Enrique Canales was born in San Antonio in the Claudio Vicuña hospital on March 6^th, 1997.

In 2002, he entered to “Espíritu Santo” school and there he completed his elementary and high school years.

At the age of 18, he entered to the Universidad de Chile, he began to study Public Administration.

His parents are Enrique Canales Venegas and Marcia Araya Hinojosa and he have a sister called Carolina Canales Araya.

He have many hobbies, he played acoustic guitar and he played volleyball. Also he likes performing in theater, but he has not been able to do this since he started the university.

His favorite music band is Pearl Jam, the last year he went to Pearl Jam’s concert that experience was one of more fantastic in his life.
